The Hall of Fame Museum is located in the IMS infield, just inside the Gate 2, off 16th Street.
Tickets for the tour also include admission to the Museum and are $25 for adults,
$10 for youth ages 6-15 and free for children age 5 and younger.
Cash, travelers' checks, personal checks, Visa or MasterCard are accepted for Grounds Tour tickets.
Grounds Tour tickets and information are available by contacting Mary Geiss at the Hall of Fame Museum office at (317) 492-6747 or mgeiss@brickyard.com.
Tickets also will be available for purchase at the Museum, but space is limited and tours often sell out.

Will's take on the museumIndianapolis has a wealth of tradition and a museum full of historical vehicles to prove it. I've visited the museum several times in my life, but my last trip was my favorite. Early 2009 I took a trip to the museum by myself to enjoy the speedway.
I had never done a ride along or walked the place by myself, so I was looking forward to this trip. The museum is a great place to take some friends or family, and pretty inexpensive entertainment also.
You have to take a ride around the famed 2.5-mile IMS oval in one of the Museum's comfortable tour buses, with a stop at the "Yard of Bricks." Check out my video from the ride along. I had a great time taking my time, looking at things in detail. All in all, definitely worth the money, go for it!

When May arrives each year, for those of us who live in a part of the country that is not known for great weather most of the time, it is almost like we Hoosiers are let out of a cage. Spring is here, summer can not be far behind. And it also means that the (30 days of May) have arrived. When I was a much younger person, I started listening to the Indianapolis 500 each year on Memorial Day. The race was changed from Memorial Day to the Sunday, however, has no bearing on what the opening ceremonies mean to me, or the way they emotionally move me to tears...
